HP ProLiant Microserver Gen8 Special 6-Pin to Standard 4-Pin PWM Adapter Cable (premium sleeved)

This adapter cable allows you to use regular PWM fan with the HP Microserver Gen8 6pin motherboard header, by converting regular 4pin PWM connector to the special 6pin connector for HP.

For Gen8 machines, the motherboard has a fan speed alert feature: if the fan speed drops below 900 RPM, it's considered a fan failure and triggers an alarm. At the same time, the fan ramps up to full speed, creating a loop that can’t recover on its own. Therefore, when selecting a new fan, it's important to ensure that the fan's lowest speed stays above 900 RPM.
